The IU Food Institute Food Library
A propos de ma bibliothèque
The IU Food Institute is fortunate to have a large library of food-related resources and materials, mostly derived from significant donations of personal collections by food scholars.

Dr. Sidney Mintz, the late anthropologist and food aficionado, generously donated his library of food- and sugar-related books, manuscripts, reports, and journals, to us in 2012, before his passing. His wife, Jacqueline Mintz, donated more of his books to us in 2017. This collection features many resources in languages other than English.

IU Political Science professor and Slow Food advocate Dr. Christine Barbour donated part of her vast collection of cookbooks and other food books, DVDs, and journals to us in 2016.

We are delighted to share these resources with you inside our library at our offices at 405/407 N. Park Ave., Bloomington, IN 47401.
