Face to Face Library is available to both clients and counsellors. Please ask your counsellor for more information and access to the library. We ask for a small donation, which will go towards book costs, although this donation is not compulsory.

About Face to Face
Face to Face Counselling is an independent, non-profit-making organisation run by volunteers. We are based in Chorlton-cum-Hardy in south Manchester and offer the following:

One-to-one personal counselling for adults (i.e. over 18).
One-to-one personal counselling for children and young people aged 9-17.
One-to-one personal counselling for young adults aged 18-25.
A weekly 2 hour therapy group.
Optional library membership for volunteers and clients.
The adult service is exclusively for people on low income who cannot afford to pay private rates. The service for children and young people is open to all income groups. The service for young adults is exclusively for people on low income or without income (e.g. students) who would like to see a counsellor with particular experience/expertise in this age group.
We also run a counselling service at Chorlton High School for pupils attending the school.

Our Counsellors
We are a team of 22 experienced, professional counsellors who all work as unpaid volunteers for Face to Face. We each either hold a diploma in counselling or are near the end of diploma training. Those of us who work with children and young people have had extra specialized counsellor training to develop further expertise in working with this age group.

Appointments
Counselling sessions are by appointment only. Appointments are available 7 days a week and also in the evenings. Please contact us by telephone, email or text.

Fees
We ask for a small donation per session (between £3 and £10) to help cover our costs. We may waive this for some children and young people under special circumstances.
