À mon sujetThe Feminist Library On Wheels (F.L.O.W.) is a node of the Women's Center for Creative Work (WCCW) founded by members Jenn Witte and Dawn Finley, both lifelong bookworms and devoted cyclists. We're building a multimedia collection of feminist books, artifacts and ephemera to make available to as wide an audience in Los Angeles as possible, by bicycle.

We promote a feminist approach in three ways: through the riders who participate; the personality of the items donated to the library; and the use of bicycles. Our collection will be available both at regularly scheduled locations as well as at special events (CicLAVia, farmers' markets, fairs and parades, etc).

Anyone can fill out our short membership form to get a library card, check out a volume on the honor system, and either return it to a designated drop-off spot, or bring it back to us when we're out and about.

À propos de ma bibliothèqueWe want our library to reflect as diverse a definition of feminism as possible--that's why we're building it through donations. Please get in touch if you want to suggest a volume to add or if you have a selection from your own shelves to donate!

Items that are currently checked out will be stored in the "Checked out" folder here, and listed as available again when they're returned to us. You can also search our "Special collections" catalog--those are volumes we'll be happy to arrange for you to look at, but they may be rare or fragile so we want to make sure they're around for a long, long time.

If you have books you'd like to donate to us, please do! You can send them to us at our address here, or email us if you're in the Los Angeles area and we can arrange to get them in person. You can also check out our Wishlist folder here, which corresponds to a wishlist we have at Skylight Books, and you can make donations that way (http://www.skylightbooks.com/flow-wishlist).
