A propos de ma bibliothèque
Very eclectic mix of books; many still unread (see 'Owned but Unread' - lets me keep track of books I own but haven't gotten across reading yet); using LibraryThing to keep track of my books, keep track of yearly purges (gotta keep the library's size under control... six copies of Hamlet is too many), and have an easily accessible database.

Some of my favourite authors include Marcus Aurelius, Blake, Walt Whitman, Billy Shakes', Philip Larkin, Philip K. Dick, Harlan Ellison, Melville's short stories over Poe's and Hawthorne's, and moreeee. The list is ever-expanding.
A propos de moi
23/M/Victoria, British Columbia (Presently)
No idea what I'm going to do with my life but live it, the rest'll fit in somewhere along the way. Currently towards the end of my English degree at the University of Victoria.

Have lived in: Charlottetown, PEI; Ottawa, ON; Calgary, AB; Sackville, NB; and Victoria, BC. Thus far.

Interested in: (in no order)
Reading (durrrrr); writing, both fiction and non-fiction... mostly a long list of incomplete short stories and ideas for novels that might come to being thirty years from now; memoirs/autobiographies/biographies of interesting and eclectic individuals; depression and other mental illnesses, personality disorders, psychology; antagonists who turn into protagonists or evil characters in general; ego, hubris, personal challenges and failures, self-discovery ---> generally: well-constructed characters who are realistic and connectable; scifi, space, astronomy, colonization, intelligent lifeforms, astrophysics, etc.; race relations and their history; war and its history, soldiering, naval battles and strategy, 'enemies' and 'allies', genocide and war crimes; beaches, the ocean, islands; fatherhood, family, brotherly love; security, conflict resolution, mediation; Africa ---> specifically, East Africa, South Sudan, Rwanda; Canada ---> almost anything Canadian; Buddhism; dystopia, armageddon, zombies, post-apocalyptic literature; the Oxford comma; geekdom in general; fantasy; Greek and Roman history and mythology; ideas and where they come from; and a billion other places. Look through my book collection - you'll see how eclectic it is.

Not interested in:
This list is too long, but 'outrageous feminist writing' and 'political correctness' are right at the top.
