A propos de ma bibliothèque
My library is made up of both books I've read -- many of which are library books -- and books I own.

I enjoy browsing through books at used book sales and that's where I get most of the books I own. It's rather rare for me to spend more than $3 or so on any one book.

I really enjoy being around books. For me, it's relaxing and soothing to walk into a room that is lined with shelves full of books. Ahhh!

I love being around books, handling books, perusing books, picking out books and yes, even reading them.

I have been an avid reader most of my life, but I notice that my devotion to reading does wax and wane. While most of the time, I can't get enough of reading, there have been periods of a year or two at a time where I've been on an unplanned reading hiatus.
A propos de moi
I'm an early-40s female professional in the Ottawa region.

I mainly read and write in English, though my first language is French.

I read mostly novels and memoirs, and mostly books written within my lifetime. I would like to be better read and plan on reading more classics.
