A propos de ma bibliothèque

The landscape of work is changing rapidly. The COVID19 pandemic has led to an increase not only in remote working (which was already on the rise before the pandemic) but also to an increased need to address the most challenging aspects of our work environments such as bullying and harassment and race and equity issues. Additionally, with the rise in the use of automatic check outs, and massive layoffs occurring in the US, individuals are now, more than ever, wondering how they will be able to afford the increasing costs of living. Although this may appear like the most frightening time for individuals, is it actually the time with the most potential for change and opportunity. In the book, Reimagining Work: from suffering at work to creating a more loving, compassionate, abundant and spiritually aligned life, Gissele Damiani-Taraba invites us to examine how we came to work the way we do (9-5, Monday to Friday grind) and reflect on how our relationship with money, and debt has contributed to where we are financially, as a society. She also encourages us to examine whether there is another way to align to our financial freedom from other sources of income, beyond work. In her book, she talks about how our beliefs and emotions have led us to create workplaces that are full of toxicity, and negative workplace interactions. By shifting our beliefs and emotions, we can then begin to have difficult conversation which assists us to come closer together rather than move further apart. In a world that seems more and more divisive, Reimagining Work: from suffering at work to creating a more loving, compassionate, abundant and spiritually aligned life seems to have the antidote to the current cancel culture. More importantly, this book demonstrates how to gain mastery over ourselves. It shows us how to gain control of our beliefs and our emotions, and by doing so to take back our power to create the life of our dreams.
