A propos de moi
Benjamin Wolcott (1685 - ~1723), son of John and Mary (Chester) Wolcott, and a lieutenant in Capt. James Steele's company of Hartford militia. Benjamin returned to England to lay claim to family lands at Tolland that had passed to female relatives; he was unsuccessful in the attempt, but found a wife instead, marrying Joan Galhampton.

Wolcott died before he could make his return to Connecticut.
