A propos de ma bibliothèque
I read mostly English literature, but I am interested in science, history, archaeology and philosophy, too, and I also like literature in translation.
Most books I have read and own have been catalogued, excepting the crime and mystery novels that I read purely for relaxation and forget about as soon I have finished them. I have also decided (for the time being) not to add those books I did not really like that much.
A propos de moi
I have been an avid reader since age six. Most other women find it hard to desist from buying clothes and shoes, I can't resist buying books. Whenever I travel somewhere by train (even if is's just the ten minute commute to work) I have to have a book with me. My house is slowly filling up with bookcases; they are in nearly every room now and I love it. [Update: since I bought an e-reader the amount of paper books in my house has been increasing only very slowly, but I am unable to get rid of any of them, not even those I have got in electronic form as well]
Apart from reading I also love long distance running, classical music and traveling to out of the way countries. I earn my living as a lawyer (my Eng lit degree proved to be pretty useless on the job market), but as soon as I win those couple of millions in the lottery I am going to quit at once and really dig into my huge tbr pile.
