I try to read a mix of books, makes me feel as if I am giving my brain a workout. I have an interest in English History, though I'll read just about anything if it is history related. In the past few years I have been trying to add classics to my collection as I realize my schooling in this area was sorely lacking. However after a long classic I have no problem picking up a light and easy bestseller to give my brain a break.

Currently living in Vermont though I've also lived in Baltimore, Southern California and Montana. I was born and raised in Oregon and that will always be home.
I live with my husband Joshua and son Gabriel. I read because I never tire of the thrill of falling into a story and having it become real for me. If I was not careful I would get nothing done besides reading.
Things I like besides books: chocolate, the ocean, my son's laugh, ice cream, baseball (go Yankees!), writing long letters, cupcakes, French food, rainy days, dance, politics, lemondrop martinis and art (Italian renaissance, Pre-Raphaelite & Dali).
I started an MLS program through the U of Wisconsin-Madison in September 2011. Library school is turning out to be pretty tough and very time intensive. So much for getting much fun reading in the next two years.
