The American Corner, in Paramaribo, Suriname, is a U.S-Embassy sponsored space, which offers an assortment of materials and resources, plus cultural and educational programs. American Corners are dedicated information spaces hosted in schools, libraries, and other partner institutions, like CCS, worldwide. American Corners have long been integral in introducing visitors to the true story of the United States, through books, magazines, digital resources, workshops, cultural programming, educational sessions, and other activities. American Corners represent our nation's long-standing commitment to spread the ideas and values of American democracy and civil society, and they provide a space for cross-national and cross-cultural exchanges, to help us work in partnership with Suriname on a variety of projects.
