- A propos de ma bibliothèque
Ah, a library! One dreams of a library. Some shelves is what one has. More shelves would be nice, but where to put them, eh?
History and archaeology, social history, poaching and folklore, natural history, gardens and gardening: herbals and antique medical books. Engravings, woodcuts, maps. It all meshes together somehow. Oh, and not to neglect the steadily-expanding collection of cookery books…. Definitely not to forget them.
I have a Victorian history blog on Patreon, with lots of free posts, it’s at https://patreon.com/VictoriansVileVictorians, you can get a strong feel of my interests from there, although I by no mean confine my book collecting to that period.
- A propos de moi
- With mightily constrained funds, I am building up a bijou collection mostly from boot fairs and the like. Bijou, because space is restricted. One book in, one book out: it concentrates the mind wonderfully.
I repair and rebind books when they need it: I actively look out for books that need rescuing.
I'm new to LibraryThing and have yet to explore the book chat side. - Lieu (géographique)
