sturlington: A proposal in Latin. It doesn't get much more erudite than that.

Explications
Linkmeister: Miles Vorkosigan woos Ekaterin in his own way. The book leans heavily on the form created by Georgette Heyer. It's even DEDICATED to "Jane, Charlotte, Georgette, and Dorothy." A true comedy of manners.
kgodey: I don't think this one would be as good if we didn't have tons of books preceding it where Miles fails to acquire his Lady Vorkosigan (and rightly so). But I can't add the whole series to the list, so this will have to do.
Merryann: This was the first Bujold book I ever read and I found it delightful in so very many ways. The love story was deeply satisfying to me and the humor just right.
