PitcherBooks: JF. 2003 Multiple Award-Winner. First of a six picture book series. Wonderful read-aloud for all ages. Equally appealing to boys & girls. Not a fan of the art style but the text is top-notch! A silly siamese cat that likes to imagine it's a Chihuahua. "Madcap adventures with a charismatic, melodramatic kitty." ... Of course, if you or your particular kid don't like a book, give it a thumbs down. "sturlington: I have read a lot of these books. I decided to use this list to track books I have read with my son. I'll thumbs down books I wouldn't read with my son or that didn't work for him." Which makes me discount most of sturlington's ratings and comments as limited and anecdotal. I have hispanic family and would be happy to share this book with them. One can celebrate a joyous ethnicity or - depending on one's mindset - find 'troubling stereotypes' where there are none.
sturlington : I cannot stand reading this aloud and find the stereotyping troublesome, to say the least.
