Favorite Childhood Books

sturlington: My father read it aloud to me when I was 5 or 6. It's a wonderful memory.

Drapetsona: actually, I never read it as a child. I wish I had.

anglemark: The winter landscape on the other side of the wardrobe has haunted my imagination all my life.

Diane-bpcb: This was my favorite of the Little House books, which I just loved. My sister and I would play covered wagon, using our twin beds as our wagons, etc. Little did we know, in those days, that ancestors had gone West in a wagon train.

sturlington: Read as an adult to my own child; great book for children.

saffron12: Weather. Food. Absolute perfection when I was a kid, and those are still some of my passions as an adult.

katie4098: This was probably my #1 favorite book from childhood. I just loved the concept of it, the humor, and the BFG himself. I can't believe it hasn't been made into a live action film yet, while most of Dahl's other children's books have.
