ahef1963: Have been a fan of Sherlock Holmes since childhood. Occasionally I'll re-read one of the stories.

Explications
aulsmith : Skipping. Too much blubber.
rainpebble : puts my brain in a muddle no matter how many attempts I make to read it.
amanda4242: I read it and discovered that I could quite happily have gone through life without having read it.
sturlington : Read in college.
JalenV: Read twice for different classes (one definitely in college), chose it the second time because I remembered enough from dfiscussing it the first time I figured it would help the second. (Still wonder if that preacher who appeared early in the book gave the same sermon every Sunday.)
Aprill: I love Melville's writing.
ManWithAnAgenda : Read. Interesting.
MyFathersDragon: I liked the book in 5th grade, but when I tried rereading in 11th grade, I didn’t find it interesting enough to read it, perhaps because I had previously read it.

Explications
JalenV: Had to read for class. I've read that the standard text is a victim of bad editing. If true, that explains a lot.
ahef1963: Beautiful book.
MyFathersDragon: About 3rd grade - it was in the school library.

Explications
: Is the 75th anniversary edition really the classic version of this cookbook? Why do we think this is a classic a person *should* read but probably hasn't?
sturlington : Read it, as much as one can read a cookbook.
aekd: Cooking? No.
