Books about characters you'd like to know
- Description
- This is taken from a comment made by D. E. Stevenson about the books she wrote. I'd like the list to be about books that contain MOSTLY characters you'd like to meet, but am willing to see it morph into something else.

- chocorua: The first “adult” novel that I read as an adolescent and it was magical being swept away into the mystical lands of Shady Vale and Paranor with such fantastical characters as Allanon (a druid), Shea and Flick Ohmsford (brothers) and Eventine Elessidil (an elf king). The book, given to me by my father, is one I’ve re-read multiple times and the characters were often inspiration for my D&D characters. Would love to meet the characters that captured my imagination for all these years.

- chocorua: Spent most of my life growing up playing D&D and simultaneously knowing magic is not real. Yet, one day, a certain character (John Dee) showed up in my life and made begin to question my own reality. Could it be real? John Dee, a real person from the Elizabethan era of England, believed so, and was perhaps one of the last remaining magi before the shift from alchemy to the scientific method and he dabbled in (among other things) astronomy, geography, astrology, alchemy and crystallomancy often straddling the worlds of magic and science. He was an eccentric, highly intelligent and educated man from the Renaissance period. Would to travel back in time, meet this man in his element and then travel with him to the current age. Would love to hear all of his stories, his travels and adventures.

- chocorua: Was King Arthur real? Some historians speculate he very well may have been. Who wouldn’t want to meet this enigma? Real or not, he’s a character that has captured our imaginations for centuries. Would love to learn and hear all about Camelot, the Knights of the Round Table, Avalon, Merlin, Sir Lancelot, Guinevere and Uther Pendragon from the lips of this legendary king.
