The most comprehensive edition of AH's essays, including the contents of all collections and all travel books mentioned above (#8, 11, 14, 16, 18, 23, 26, 28, 31, 37, 40), a few pamphlets (#21, 35, 44, 47), one full-length book (#29) and a number of previously uncollected pieces. Indispensable, never mind the scant and superficial editorial work. The volumes are handsomely produced hardcovers.
