highlander6022: An extraordinary book on understanding Chrisitianity’s approach to pain and suffering. It is not simply a “how-to” of what to do when enduring pain or suffering (it does include that, though), but a deeply enriched volume covering the theologicial understanding concepts of it. How does Christianity approach pain and suffering versus other faith traditions? Why does one person seem to suffer enormously while another seems to have none in their life? Why is there pain and suffering at all? These topics and others are explored in depth by Pr. Keller. If you haven’t read it, you may wonder how an entire volume can be written about pain and suffering without being a downer. But it is uplifting in many ways. A volume that I plan to keep on my shelf for when the inevitable pain and suffering occurs in my life.

highlander6022: Incredible story of the art and cultural artifacts stolen by the Nazis during World War II. Unbelievable the sheer number (millions!) of items involved...Also a sad story of how many works of art were stolen and are still missing, either destroyed and their destruction is unknown, or others that are being held by descendants of people that stole them or acquired them from the Nazis through purchase or trading. The recent movie based on the book only scratched the surface.

highlander6022: Oh, how I wish this book was available 40 years ago. The best adjective I can give it is "rich". Rich in discussion. Rich in research documentation. Rich in providing a wonderful insight into myself, a confirmed introvert but with some extrovert tendencies. Rich in discussion of interactions between intros and extros. Rich in providing guidance on how to raise, teach, encourage intro and extro children. Rich in how to succeed in a business world where extros seem to be the "chosen ones" to lead us to the promised land of success.
