amaranthe: Maia unexpectedly becomes emperor after having lived his 18 years as an embarrassment in exile. He must learn to govern effectively without being killed, being manipulated by older members of the government, or becoming like his father. Lots of politics, intrigue, problem-solving, and heart.

amaranthe: Queer pastiche of old British adventure novels. Very entertaining. Also, romance (bearing in mind that it is the first of what will be a series).

amaranthe: Queer supernatural mystery novella, the fourth in a series. A kid keeps showing up and leaving again, only the characters are not sure whether he is a ghost or not (since one of them often sees ghosts, and the other doesn't exactly believe in them and doesn't normally see them). Contemporary setting, although 'English folkways' from the old religion also feature.
