Advertisement text (Boston Gazette, 8 July 1771): "To be Sold at public Vendue on Wednesday next, at Nine o'Clock, A.M. at the House of the late EDWARD SHEAFFE, Esq; at Charlestown, The Houshold Furniture, with the Tallow-Chandler's and Soap-Boiler's Utensils, and other Moveables of the said Deceased.—Among the Furniture is a very good Eight-Day Clock, several handsome Looking-Glasses, three compleat Setts of burnt China for the Tea-Table, a very fine and valuable Piece of Painting, as good as new, about 4 Feet square, with a genteel Frame, a handsome Mahogany Book-Case, with Glass Doors, containing a pretty large and valuable Collection of Books, particularly, many of the best in Divinity, which will be sold if a sufficient Number of Purchasers appear. Also to be Sold at private Sale, The Mansion House of the said Deceased, with the Land adjoining, and the Work-House suited to the Tallow-Chandler's and Soap-Boiler's Business. Also one Quarter Part of the Long Wharff in said Charlestown, with the Warehouse thereon.
The above Articles ay be viewed on the Day before the Sale."
