A New Year's Reunion is a story about Maomao, a little girl who only gets to see her father once a year during the Chinese New Year. During this time, her father comes home and the family is happy. He gets a haircut, helps fix up the house, and has dinner with his family. They make sticky rice bowls and Maomao finds the lucky coin. There is also a fun snow day where Maomao makes a snowman with her friends. Finally, as our story comes to an end, the father must leave again for his work. Maomao gives him the lucky coin and wishes him goodbye. This story would be great for showing Chinese New Years, family, and parents who are gone due to work.
