Hugh Byrd, is a cold and heartless father and husband in Byrd's Creek, and is used to getting what he wants. What he wants is the Colton's prime land and the destruction of the Colton family. What he doesn't count on is his own daughter, Olivia, falling in love with Rafe Colton.

Rafe and Olivia will be torn apart by the Civil War, and the young couple must keep their love for each other a secret from her family. The end of the War should mean a joyous reunion for these two, but Rafe is soon accused of a terrible crime, so he runs away, leaving Olivia behind once again. Will their love survive another separation?

This was a endearing romance set in the South. It is a story of faith, hope, and a love the can withstand the distance and time apart from each other. I so enjoyed the dedication these two had for one another despite the hardships and difficulties they faced, they remained true to that love. I also appreciated the historical setting of this story. The title of this book expresses the theme very well, 'Undaunted Love'. I would definitely read more by this author.

The American civil war is not a period of history that I know much about so really enjoyed learning something about it from this book.

It tells the story of Olivia who falls for Rafe Colton when he rescues her family when a tree falls on the house. The problem is that her father just bought his farm-land for a derisory amount and would not approve of Rafe as a suitor and has someone else in mind for her.

When the civil war starts Rafe decides to volunteer for the confederate army and leave Olivia to keep their love secret!

This book shows how God is with us through the darkest times and is always there to forgive us when things go wrong.

Review:

"Undaunted Love" by Jennings Wright was a good Christian historical romance read that was set in the backdrop of the 'Civil War.' So, be ready for a wonderful love story, 'Civil War,' along with corruptions and murder. This author did a good job as the novel is 'highly detailed' as the writer captured every moment of these couples journeys thorough their relationships. It was good to see how this author presented "Undaunted Love" with all the things going on 'they held their obligations to God and respectfully acknowledging him as head of their relationships.' The characters were all very well developed and many showed much faith in those trying times. If you are looking for a good rich rad with lost of twist and turns that will only give you a good read, I would recommend "Undaunted Love" to you.… (plus d'informations)
