I'm not making that up. I couldn't have dreamed up such a thing if I tried. But it seems to show how popular Titanic songs were: There were so many of them that people started parodying them. Which just goes to show the fascination exerted by shipwrecks.
Certainly there have been plenty of books about Great Lakes shipwrecks. I have at least five. A couple of them are completely worthless. Two more seem fairly well-documented but don't really offer quite enough evidence to prove it. And then there is this book. It is clearly the best, most complete, most accurate reference for ship losses on Lake Superior.
The down side is, it's not the greatest read. It's not likely that you will want to curl up with it on a snowy evening. This is a book for reference, not for enjoyment. But if you need that reference, this is the book for you.… (plus d'informations)
