Albert A. Woldman (1897–1971)

I learned a lot from this book. While not a spectacular book, it has a lot to recommend it. One very interesting fact I learned was that Lincoln only won slightly over half his cases, although that percentage was higher once the case got to the IL supreme court. The book, of course, deals mostly with cases he won, which is fine, but what about some cases he lost? Lincoln seemed to be great at snatching victory from the jaws of defeat, but I would have liked to learn more about some cases he lost (other than the case he may have lost on purpose). There is a new (2007) book out on the same subject, and I plan on reading that some time... this is a very interesting time of Lincoln's life.… (plus d'informations)
