Don Winslow (2)

I have read (and reviewed) several of Winslow's books; he specialises in the literature of erotic chastisement in which male characters enjoy exercising their particular pleasures on the rear parts of submissive young women. I find his work rather frustrating in that he holds back on the episodes of chastisement delaying whatever enjoyment the reader might derive from their description. This book describes the induction of a new recalcitrant nubile female into the training institution run by a chastisement enthusiast who can call upon the services of a sapphic dominatrix who he allows to exact favours from the newcomer. She, too, is subject to his stinging therapy. The book is quite slim at 118 pages, and it lacks coherence in its plot – probably a consequence of being the fourth part of a sequence of books set within the same scenario. Its episodes might well be assembled from material which the author could not fit into the earlier parts. Winslow's writing can be quite variable in quality, and this book is one of his least successful.… (plus d'informations)

This is a collection of nine short stories in which the narrator describes his amorous encounters with women, including all of the usual scenarios of sharing their charms with others, including a variation on the orgy theme, and a story involving a young lady being chastised on her hindquarters. The title doesn't seem to relate to the stories in any way. Winslow is an accomplished writer of erotica, but I found this collection fairly routine stuff, strong on descriptions but lacking in more than the simplest style of plot. Winslow is a master of erotic literature, particularly good at providing fresh slants on erotic chastisements. Here he combines this talent with a plot centred around female domination of young, impressionable males. One such, Edward, whose uncle is to inherit the eponymous Manor, which is currently run by a widow with two daughters. Edward's uncle, about to be posted abroad, must leave his nephew in the charge of the widow, not realising that she intends to enslave him, with the help of her daughters. The three women, and their less demanding female servant, intend to train Edward to carry out menial tasks, as well as to pleasure them mercilessly. Eventually, Edward's uncle returns, and turns the tables on this unnatural practice of domination, subjecting the three women to his own libidinous desires, with Edward's more-than-willing assistance.… (plus d'informations)
