I love that he was able to find a different avenue to fix his broken back. I love how he interprets yoga poses and gets in a different zone to alleviate emotional pain. In fact I think it's a really good cure. I may read his other books on yoga. He was short on empathy toward his loved ones which is why I gave it a 3 instead of 4.

His intense involvement in life that spurred his earlier work pushed him to obsessively practice a newfound healthy lifestyle and eventually to heal from his immense physical challenges.

I loved the beginning and middle of this book - war reporting from around the world and going through the dark night of the soul were fascinating and the book progressed quickly. The section on yoga dragged a lot as he discussed in depth positions and new awarenesses in detail - I would have expected to love this part the best as it signifies great growth and healing - however, it felt self focused and not as intimate to me.

When I finished reading just now, I went onto his web site and found that he has since moved outward again, sharing his newfound wisdom in challenged areas of the country and the world. I would have loved to have read about his coming full circle in the book - so for me, the story ended a bit too soon -
