The blurb very aptly describes State of Wyoming as a novel structured like a TV show. Episode 1 introduces characters and a nicely entertaining background situation, with sharp humor, political satire, and, pleasingly in an episodic novel, a genuine plot. It’s the sort of plot that leaves lots of open ends, who’s what’s and why’s. But the voice is cool and consistent and the setting has easily relatable cubicles paired with politics and fun. As the blurb so rightly suggests, episode 1 has all the makings of a modern TV comedy.
