David E. Wilkins is a citizen of the Lumbee Nation and holds the McKnight Presidential Professorship in American Indian Studies at the University of Minnesota. He has adjunct appointments in political science, law, and American studies. He earned his PhD in political science from the University of afficher plus North Carolina - Chapel Hill in 1990. Wilkins is the author or editor of a number of books, including Dismembered: Native Disenrollment and the Battle for Human Rights (with Shelly Hulse Wilkins, 2017). His articles have appeared in a range of social science, law, history, and ethnic studies journals. afficher moins
