Dr. Robert Wicks is a Professor in the Graduate Programs in Pastoral Counseling at Loyola College in Maryland. Dr. Wicks, who received his doctorate in psychology from Hahnemann Medical College, is a graduate of both Fairfield and St. John's Universities. Wicks maintains a private practice and afficher plus specializes in the prevention of secondary stress (the pressure that results from reaching out to others in need) and the integration of psychology and spirituality. He is a frequent lecturer in the United States, Canada, India, Europe, Central America, Asia, and New Zealand. He has worked with professionals from the English-speaking international community in Cambodia helping the Khmer people rebuild their nation following years of terror and torture; and was also responsible for the psychological debriefing of relief workers evacuated from Rwanda during its bloody civil war. afficher moins
