- Ryan was an hemophiliac American teenager from Kokomo, Indiana, who became a national poster child for HIV/AIDS in the United States, after being expelled from middle school because of public ignorance at the time about the transmissability of his infection. He outlived his doctors' prognosis by five years, dying just one month shy of his high school graduation.

Ryan White: My Own Story par Ryan White
I went into this knowing the end and yet, I still cried. I could have finished this in two days, but I didn't want to reach the end. The story of Ryan White is tragic, but it is a story people should know.
I bought this book from the Indianapolis Childrens Museum after seeing their exhibit on Ryan White's life. It was a great exhibit and this is a great book. It's written in YA style, so it's a quick read but very captivating.
