I thought it was a good story and the feelings of the main character were true to what I would imagine she would be going through in her situation. I will recommend this book and look forward to reading more from this author.

In fact, all the characters were uninteresting. The story just could not hold my interest. I ended up just skimming it towards the end because I wanted to give it a fair chance. The little bit of romance in the book did not amount to much which might have saved it for me. All I can say, was this book was just not my cup of tea. I appreciated winning a copy in the early reviewer giveaway since I love to try new authors but this is one author I may pass over next time. The characters lacked a bit of dimension, but they were easy to root for. Overall 3/5 stars; I will be continuing the series. I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I liked both the grounding of the realism and the peek into the world of country music.
