A strange one, it reads more like a promotional story to become a stewardess than a real book. There were places where some plot and character development, even for a stock kids book, could have happened but it just didn't. The premise is Jane and her friend Sue, having just graduated from nursing school and no work in sight, decide to train as the first stewardess of Federated Airways. The airline wants trained nurses to be the stewardesses. The story is hackneyed, esp. the wildly improbably air bandits and Jane is a cardboard figure. There is also a weird fascination with how much money she earns, which makes it feel even more like a promotional device. Not bad, just weird.… (plus d'informations)
