Vladimir F. Wertsman graduated from University "A.I. Cuza" Law School (Romania) and earned his Master's degree in Library Science from Columbia University (1967). He served as Adult Services Librarian and Branch Librarian in various branches of the Brooklyn Public Library, was Russian and Romanian afficher plus languages specialist at Donnell Foreign Language Library, New York, and worked as Senior Librarian at the Job Information Center, Mid-Manhattan Library, New York. He is a member of the American Romanian Academy of Arts and Sciences, International Social Science Honor Society, American Association for the Advancement of Slavic Studies, and the American Library Association. He chaired the PLA/Multilingual Library Service Committee and presently is Chair of Publishers & Multicultural Materials Committee of Ethnic Materials Round Table, American Library Association afficher moins
