I think it was the Wells brothers' podcast the quoted: Just because a story is about something doesn't make it good.

For instance, just because it's about vampires, doesn't make it good.

And yet, if you give me something with superpowers, I'm going to like it.

Fun read.

Well that was an entertaining action story about some over-powered teens!

I liked the premise and the multi POV. I'd like to have seen a bit more use of their powers in battle situations but overall it was a satisfying story. What was missing was some much needed world building. We had no context for why there were terrorists and what they hoped to achieve. I could see that in how undecided he was about his next move and about the girls (ugg, love triangle, albeit short) in his life. I can get on board with that as the reason why I wanted to smack the main character so much, but it just didn't make for very interesting reading. And the sudden, horrible violence against Isaiah and the attack on Becky-that felt over the top. And Mouse's motivations for coming to Becky and Benson's rescue were unclear if she was a spy for Maxfield. … (plus d'informations)

Holy hell! I am still reeling. What an ending! This book held me captive. Trust No One. My heart is beating so fast. I want to read more. The truly scary thing about this book? I could see reality in the whole scenario. Wow. Just wow.
