I offroad often and I rarely leave home without this book. It is as much a tool as a set of sockets. Even in the dark, by the light of a headlamp, on a hood, this book is useful and easy to read. The ratings are conservative, or I'm a darned good driver, but I would heed the warnings just in case. You can lose life and limb on some of these trails. A good example are the Hammers. Another one to heed warnings on is John Bull if you have a grocery getter SUV other than Jeep Wrangler...a Jeep Wrangler built for deep rocks. My copy has literally fallen apart from use. My 1/2 star off is the binding issue. This thing needs to be made of tougher paper and spiral bound since it will not be sitting at home on a book shelf. The book needs to be made as tough as some of the trails it will be on. I'm having mine taken apart and spiral bound since every page has notes that are too precious to lose.… (plus d'informations)
