"I have always loved the Holy Tongue": Isaac… par Anthony Grafton
Isaac Casaubon is one of my heroes and inspirations. This book is one of the few which really tells about him. Wonderful to read, wonderful to encounter old friends.
This is a fun book - Full of advice on many kinds of entertaining. Very young, very British, so a lot of it doesn't really apply to me. Which won't stop me from using the recipes or chuckling over the advice.
My favourite tip: When having that special man over to a romantic dinner, make sure not to wear something tight around the waist. (You wouldn't want him to see the red lines it makes if things progress to the getting undressed stage.)
