This book is unique. Sally Jones is a protagonist unlike any other. I loved every minute of this story.
Long, but charming story of a gorilla and her many adventures and new friends as she tries to prove to innocence of best friend, a ship's captain. After reading it, I learned that the book is the second in a trilogy; I didn't need to read the first book to enjoy this one. If we assume that a gorilla can be more intelligent than many humans and capable of enough manual dexterity to type, sew, make and repair accordions and ship and airplane engines and equipment, then this is a work of realistic fiction.… (plus d'informations)

There were some rough parts…reminiscent of reading Black Beauty for the first time, but the charming and amusing illustrations and the overall exotic adventure flavor make it a real winner
No need to have read the murderers ape, though it enhances the experience
