These stories are from various Native American cultures, celebrating diversity. This book would open children's minds to the fact that people from all over the world have unique ideas about life, and that no ones story is really right or wrong. I think stories like this are really important for topics like diversity and connecting students to the ancient past and civilizations.
Great book. Tells a myth or legend about creation from a variety of tribes. Then it tells about that tribe after. Fairly short stories.
