Oh, Brother! Brat Attack! is a book made up of various comic strips about two siblings Lily and Bud. Lily is the big sister and Bud is the little brother. The comics contain jokes and cartoons demonstrating sibling rivalry. There are also several mini stories that show the affection between the two of them as well, which makes it quite realistic. Each page is like a mini story so can be picked up and read whenever. This is great for kids. Lily doesn't always act like a sister, more like a mom or babysitter. She acts very grown up, more like an adult. Bud on the other hand is the little brother or the bratty kid, hence the title. There are comments made by Lily referring to their parents, but you never see them in the book. I think children would also like the fact that there do not seem to be adults around to spoil the fun.

The illustrations are cute with nice bright colours. They would appeal to kids as the characters look very cartoonish (like on Saturday morning cartoons).

I think kids would enjoy this book especially if they have a sibling. I identified with Lily having to "mother" my little brother who was seven years younger than me.

I received a copy of this book from netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Oh, Brother! is a wonderful read for all ages. There is the expected conflict between siblings and the many situations most of us will recognize from our own lives. One thing that shines through here more than in some other sibling rivalry comics is the inherent love the kids feel for each other. The actions that might not be the sweetest (hey, that is what siblings do!) is not done with the meanness seen in some strips.

I would recommend this for all ages and especially for pairs (or more) of siblings living through similar moments.

Reviewed from an ARC made available by the publisher via NetGalley.
