This is likely a subscription type book or sold door-to-door. It's over 500 pages containing biographies of the first 21 presidents. It claims to be illustrated, and does have portraits and a few engravings of monuments, all protected with tissue paper. It's value today is it's antique look and possibly an understanding of what seemed important to historians of 1884.
