L. V. Waterman

Light, Speed, Time by L.V. Waterman is the story of a young photography student, Nicky, that that sees something curious through the camera lens when setting up for a historical mansion shot. Before she can clarify the view, she is blinded by a sun ray, stumbles and falls to the ground. This happens while on an outing with her brother, Nick and his family. Later she goes inside the mansion with Nick and discovers what seem to be clues to what she saw. She seeks to solve the mystery with the help of her brother and the assistance of an onsite acquaintance.

This speculative fiction storyline was well thought out with historical royalty at its core. I had hoped for more intrigue but short stories are as prescribed, short.
