Simple and to the point. I feel it covers the main points.

I absolutely love the Cozy Classics series. I first read their [b:Cozy Classics: Pride and Prejudice|13593744|Cozy Classics Pride and Prejudice|Jack Wang|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1344751010s/13593744.jpg|19181905], which I received as a gift, and loved their simple summary of [a:Jane Austen|1265|Jane Austen|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/authors/1380085320p2/1265.jpg]'s classic, so when their takes on [b:The Adventures of Tom Sawyer|24583|The Adventures of Tom Sawyer|Mark Twain|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1393986241s/24583.jpg|3306392] and [b:The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn|2956|The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn|Mark Twain|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1274410225s/2956.jpg|1835605] showed up on NetGalley, I knew I had to read them.

Cozy Classics: Mark Twain's the Adventures of Tom Sawyer opens strong with a fantastic representation of "hide." The "hide" spread is by far my favorite in the whole book, followed by "camp." Fantastic.

The Wangs are skilled at reducing complex classics to simple key words and images that most kids will understand. The Cozy Classics serve as "my first words" type readers, helping kids to grasp basic ideas with eye-catching visual examples.

The art itself is worthy of being framed. The attention to detail, expert lightning, and creativity make these simple books ones that you'll want to read over and over again.

But the best thing about the Cozy Classics is that they're a great way for parents and caregivers to share their favorite classic stories with kids in an engaging, age-appropriate way. Who wouldn't want to foster a love of the classics from a young age?

Note: I received a digital galley of this book through NetGalley.

As I mentioned in my review of [b:Cozy Classics: The Adventures of Tom Sawyer|18675247|Cozy Classics The Adventures of Tom Sawyer|Jack Wang|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1394637274s/18675247.jpg|26509845], I love the Cozy Classics series. However, I don't think this one is quite as good as the Tom Sawyer one... but it's still good!

As with [b:Cozy Classics: The Adventures of Tom Sawyer|18675247|Cozy Classics The Adventures of Tom Sawyer|Jack Wang|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1394637274s/18675247.jpg|26509845], Cozy Classics: Mark Twain's The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn opens with an introductory image of the title character with text from [a:Mark Twain|1244|Mark Twain|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/authors/1322103868p2/1244.jpg]'s original [b:The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn|2956|The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn|Mark Twain|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1274410225s/2956.jpg|1835605] as the background. Huck Finn looks so positively friendly in this "boy" illustration that every child will want to be his friend!

Although I don't find the illustrations in this one quite as creative as those in Cozy Classics' Tom Sawyer book, the "river" and "talk" illustrations are still excellent.

The Cozy Classics are great beginning reader books as well as beautiful introductions to the classics. And because they're board books, they'll last long enough to become family favorites.

Note: I received a digital galley of this book through NetGalley.
