Even though this new edition includes the first three episodes, I don't have much more to say than what I said in my review of the first episode. There's more story, but it still didn't get anywhere, and it took me less than a day to read it. I'm left with lots of questions, and looking at the release schedule in the copy I received, I'm not sure if I want to invest that much time or money in getting those questions answered. Perhaps if the episodes were condensed down into fewer books, I would be more interested.

I guess I was expecting the story to be like a tv show; perhaps slow at first, but intriguing, and each successive episode drawing me further into the story. However, the setup for what happened to Onyx and how all the other characters tie into her story is taking too long. All the way through to the end of episode 3, new characters are introduced with no way of telling if they're important or not. Most of my reading notes consist of a long list of names, just in case I would meet them again and need to remind myself who they are. Despite giving the first episode four stars, I don't feel there's enough story in the remainder of this book to give it any more than three.

Don’t judge a book by its cover.

If you’ve ever heard that before, you know what that means. When I was first approached by the author (hell, whenever I shop for a new book), I always look at the cover, and this one gave me doubts. However, I read the excerpt provided by Amazon, and found myself wanting more. I couldn’t wait to get the book in the mail!

Onyx Webb is beautifully designed with all the wonderful graphics in the paperback version. I love the different character perspectives and the character building with each page turn. I do have to admit, it can most certainly get confusing from all the time jumps, which makes you have to work just a bit harder, making you look back to see where the last chapter took place, etc. However, after you get the hang of each main character, you’re able to continue reading flawlessly... Suspense, reveal, answer questions, more suspense!

I obviously haven't had enough with this series with its bounty of character stories, mystery, and suspense. With each page, questions are answered only for the next page (and sometimes the same page) to make way for more questions and yet another mystery to solve.

The authors do a wonderful job... (more via website)

Another great story from the wonderful Ms. Waltz and Mr. Fenton that continues the beautifully crafted worlds of multiple, well-defined characters including the gorgeous Onyx Webb. The authors do a great job continuing the stories and answering the questions that the readers were left with after reading Book 1.

I really love how everything is starting to connect and I feel it's perfectly executed... (More via website)… (plus d'informations)
