This is a book that is all about the plot set out to shock. The story starts slowly although there are plenty of clues that things are not alright and eventually builds to two of the characters having sex whilst watching someone die along with snuff movies. It's about obsession and addiction, how far someone will go to love another person and I really didn't like it. I got the feeling it isn't just how far the characters can go but also how far the author can go, too.

I'm not awarding any stars for this one. It's 3 hours of my life I'll never get back. Free on Kindle. Says it all.… (plus d'informations)

Unfortunately, this book did not meet my expectations. The synopsis sounded great but it didn't deliver.
This book is told from different points of view and goes from before the explosion, the day of the explosion and after it. I thought the explosion was going to play a big factor in the book sadly not. It was slow and I still have no clue about what I read. I don't think B P Walter's books are for me. Sorry.

Took me a bit more to read this one because life got in the way, but honestly this is a quick one as the pages turn themselves.
Stephanie is hit by the tragedy of loosing her husband and her teenage son in an accident; but something is not quite right with how his son’s last months went by. Something was deeply troubling him and it has something to do with their neighbours.
Fast paced and keeps you guessing, so definitely grab it.

"‘You heard what I said. I know everything. Don’t ask me about it again and I’ll keep your secret. Even though it makes me feel ill thinking about it.’"

This is the third book I've read from this author. They always write enjoyable domestic suspense books. I really liked The Dinner Guest.

This book is a little tough for me to describe. Stephanie, our main character, is entangled in a mystery with her neighbors, whose son was the best friend of her son Danny. She lost both her husband and son in a car accident. We switch POVs between Stephanie and Danny as we move forward and backward in time. In the present, Stephanie has woken up after an explosion with amnesia, trying to remember the events involving the neighbors.

There really wasn't much of a mystery in the end and the ending was lackluster. After all the build up of what was in the attic, i definitely expected more than what it ended up being. This is definitely my least favorite of the 3 books I've read from this author.

Thank you netgalley and HarperCollins, One More Chapter for giving me an advanced review copy (oops 😬) in exchange for an honest review.
