Goose Goes to School

I had mixed feelings about this book. I really liked the illustrations in the book. They were very simple, but I think they fit well with the story and for the level of this book. There were lots of bright colors which was eye catching. I was a little confused by the plot of the story, even though it was simple. Some of the sentences didn’t seem to flow with the one that came before it. This is a simple book for small children who are just learning to read.

Originally read the same time as the other Goose books, but read today at storytime for 2/3-year-olds and (like the original Goose) it was a hit. Bright colors, easy-to-follow pictures and a perfect amount of text on each page. The story moves along nicely and the hide-and-seek element ("Where's Goose?") is even better one-on-one.

Great book but a little long for story time. It would still be good for storytime if paperclipped. It's about finding a friend for goose who can fly and eat the same foods as him since Sophie can't. But in the end, even though he finds good new friends, he and Sophie are still the best of friends even if they can't fly together or eat the same foods.
Storytime Age: 3-5 year olds, maybe 2 year old if paperclipped
