The magnificent building designed by Louis Sullivan to house the Chicago Stock Exchange was torn down to build a PARKING LOT!!!! In the process, architectural photographer Richard Nickel lost his life. The Art Institute of Chicago salvaged the Trading Room, which was dismantled and then reconstructed at the AIOC.
