This book profiles the unit history of the 65th Infantry Regiment, known as "The Borinqueneers" focusing on their service in the Korean War. William Harris, after the unit successfully participated in the Portrex Maneuvers in Puerto Rico's Vieques island. It also goes on to explain the events of the courts martial in the fall of 1952. An important book for those interested in military history and American and Puerto Rico history.… (plus d'informations)

Engaging and easy to read biography of the man who planned the attack on a 2 billion dollar (in modern money) fort manned by a thousand defenders. With merely 85 paratroopers he took the fort. But this is only the beginning of the odessy of Rudolf Witzig. He also participated in the Battle of Crete, fought in North Africa, on the Russian front, and in Europe. This volume does a good job of telling the details surround the bio to keep the story in perspective without getting into the weeds.
