This is a rather thorough approach to philosophy of technology, addressing the work of seminal philosophers such as Heidegger, Latour, Ihde and Borgmann from the point of view that their work does not offer a nuanced enough approach to the actual qualities of specific technologies. The takeaway is an attempt at synthesizing phenomenology and constructionism in a discussion of technology in terms of material aesthetics and engaging use. It is certainly not easy reading, but seems to make sense for interaction design scholars who have found philosophical work such as Heidegger or Latour appealing, yet too blunt and generic to be generative in itself.… (plus d'informations)
