Without a doubt this is a good book for anyone who wants to know about the various battles the Cavalry fought throughout history. I would highly recommend it to those who are fact-oriented and driven to absorb a large amount of information on a certain topic. My opinion of the book is mostly that it was more a list of battles and statistics made into something that resembled a book. I felt rushed through the history rather than allowed to take it all in. There was a disclaimer in the front about how the book needed to show the facts of history, so couldn't take sides, and it does portray the cavalry only in the battles that they fought, trying not to let opinion slip in, though there is the occasional slip to one side or the other in what little commentary gets wedged in to the facts. Someone researching the cavalry's history would find this a useful tool, the curious public will probably enjoy the illustrated aspect of the book, but it isn't what the casual reader should pick up and dive into when looking for a book on this subject.… (plus d'informations)

Once you finish this book you'll never need to read another book on the battle again, as every angle has been examined and every misconception and myth has been debunked. If you've read Spector's Eagle Against the Sun you'll have sufficient background to tackle this tome.
