This was a captivating dystopian story. Society is segregated, speech, thought, and reproduction is tightly controlled. You have to be a good citizen (by government standards), and keep your head down if you want to keep living in relative comfort and safety in a megacity. I loved how this story was told from multiple perspectives, but mainly from the POV of Rae. I loved following Rae's journey as the story unfolded. Tyler has created a unique world, and you'll easily get lost in it. The characters are well-rounded, and the plot flows smoothly, but really picks up in the second half. If you're a fan of dystopian thrillers, you're going to love this one!… (plus d'informations)

This was the perfect mix of psychological thriller and drama. Nico is eerily good at what he does - and the way he operates, it's all too easy to imagine someone getting wrapped up in his lies - and not just within the pages of the book. It brings into stark relief just how connected and vulnerable the digital age has made us. Being able to follow the story first hand from the character's POV only made it that much more chilling and engaging. A brilliant read that is sure to leave chills running down your spine even after you've read the final word.… (plus d'informations)

A decent read overall. It started a little slow for me, and it was difficult to get into the story while still living in the middle of a pandemic. That said, the story is chilling on many levels. I wasn't crazy about the main narrator, Jack. He was ok, but nothing really made me want to cheer him on. I think the main strengths are in the plot itself - a murder mystery amidst a pandemic. You'll be guessing who the murderer is right until the big reveal, and there are enough twists to keep you going. Just wish the pacing had been a little better, and the real tension builder was introduced sooner.… (plus d'informations)

An absolutely chilling tale of what could yet come to pass, whether in the UK or here in the US. It's so easy these days to shut out the real world and experience everything through the lens of social media. To cocoon ourselves. What happens when the real world comes knocking and it's something you never thought could happen? For Nick and Lita reality is about to hit very hard - and they're forced to call upon inner reserves they didn't know they had. If you've been following politics in the US this dystopian tale might seem a little more close to reality than before.… (plus d'informations)
